Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders in Chester County
December 16, 2025
YMCA of Greater Brandywine is excited to share incredible opportunities for teens across Chester County to connect, lead, and thrive through our YMCA Teen Programs. These programs are intentionally designed to empower young people, amplify their voices, and prepare them for leadership, civic engagement, and lifelong success.
Through initiatives like Y Achievers, Youth & Government, and our 7th Grade Initiative, teens are gaining access to:
- Meaningful mentorship and positive role models
- Leadership development and college/career readiness support
- Civic engagement and real-world learning experiences
- Safe, inclusive spaces where they can belong, lead, and grow
Our Y Achievers programs provide middle and high school students with academic encouragement, leadership skills, and exposure to future career and educational pathways. Youth & Government offers teens a powerful opportunity to explore civic leadership, build confidence, and engage in hands-on democratic experiences. Our 7th Grade Initiative, available at all branches, ensures students are supported during a critical transitional year—academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are deeply grateful for the families, partners, and community members who continue to trust the YMCA as a place where teens are not only supported—but celebrated. Together, we are building strong, confident leaders and expanding access to impactful programming for young people across our community.
Enrollment is open, and we encourage families to take advantage of these enriching opportunities and help us continue strengthening teen programming throughout Chester County.
